The Maldives Finance Forum, the largest gathering of stakeholders in the Maldives finance sector, is scheduled to take place on May 29 at Kurumba Maldives for its 10th edition.

Launched in 2012 and organised by the Maldives Pension Administration Office, the annual event provides a platform for exchanging knowledge, ideas, and perspectives on a range of subjects relevant to the development of the Maldives’ Financial Sector. Environment, Climate Change, and Technology State Minister Mohamed Shareef will join two senior officials from the Pension Office – Sujatha Haleem (CEO) and Ahmed Inaz (Chairperson) – as well as two international speakers at the upcoming Maldives Finance Forum. The event is anticipated to be grandiose, with the participation of local and international keynote speakers, panellists, presenters, and leaders of the Maldives Finance and Technology industry.

The primary objective of this event is to gather professionals from diverse fields, foster discussion on innovative technologies, support financial sector innovations, and promote research, the pension office said. The agenda for each forum is created around a theme that has the potential to contribute to the development of the financial sector. This year’s theme is “The Future of Finance: Exploring the Intersection of Fintech and AI.”
