Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s largest low-cost carrier, has announced plans to commence direct flights to the Maldives. Starting 27 October, the Emirates-based airline will launch daily non-stop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Velana International Airport (VIA) in Malé.
The enchanting holiday destination of the Maldives will now be seamlessly connected to Air Arabia’s expanding network, the airline said in a statement. The airline will operate Airbus A320 aircraft on the route.
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, expressed his excitement: “We are delighted to add the Maldives to our route network. Our commitment to providing value-driven air travel remains unwavering, and this new connection reaffirms our dedication to seamless connectivity.”
Passengers can book their direct flights from Sharjah to the Maldives through Air Arabia’s website, the call centre, or travel agencies, the airline said.
