Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during a two-day official visit to the Middle Eastern nation.
The foreign ministers, during their meeting, discussed ways to diversify and deepen the existing relations between the two countries, the Maldives’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Zameer is also said to have delivered to his UAE counterpart, a letter from President Mohamed Muizzu, addressed to President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Maldives’ top diplomat additionally met with the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi and visited the Embassy of the Maldives in the UAE.
Zameer concluded his visit to the UAE on Thursday, the Ministry said.
