Chief Justice Ahmed Muthasim Adnan has been admitted to Dharumavantha Hospital in Malé for treatment of a spinal condition, sources confirmed on Thursday.
The Chief Justice was brought to the capital in an emergency late on Wednesday night after falling ill while visiting Fulhadhoo Island in Baa Atoll.
According to sources, the Chief Justice is undergoing treatment at the hospital, but no official statement has been issued regarding his condition.
The Supreme Court is currently on recess, and it remains unclear how long the Chief Justice’s medical treatment will take.
