Minister of Defence Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon has met with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Maldives, Levan S. Dzhagaryan. Discussions focused on bilateral relations as well as other issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting held on Monday, Maumoon highlighted the increasing number of Russian visitors to the Maldives, noting their significant economic contribution to the nation.

Dzhagaryan acknowledged that the Maldives was a popular tourist destination among Russian travellers and expressed his willingness to work with the Maldives in various ways going forward.

The Russian Ambassador also met with the Secretary Bilateral at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hala Hameed, and discussed further strengthening bilateral relations.
