The World Bank is ready to provide technical assistance and cooperation to Maldives, the international financial institution has confirmed.
The World Bank Vice President for South Asia, Martin Reiser, made the assurance during a courtesy call on President Mohamed Muizzu on Monday, during which the President thanked the World Bank for its continued support and assistance to the country and discussed the administration’s plans for economic growth and financial recovery.
Muizzu highlighted the administration’s policies for public sector reform, which he also touch on during his Presidential Address on Monday.
The meeting was concluded on a note of continued interest to work in partnership towards the future development of Maldives.
