The Maldives has been named the fourth friendliest country in the world by Condé Nast Traveler.
Condé Nast Traveller compiled the list as part of the magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards this year. The list, ranked by travellers, assessed vacation destinations based on their hospitality.
The Maldives earned its fourth place rank by earning a 93.5 percentile.
Condé Nast celebrated the Maldives as a top-quality honeymoon destination, also noting that the nation is increasingly a child-friendly destination.
The Maldives did not make last year’s list.
Costa Rica came in first, with New Zealand second and Thailand third.
