The device, equipped with 5G connectivity and an array of impressive features, aims to entice customers with its affordable price tag and the ability to repair it using parts provided by iFixit, the popular repair advocacy organisation.
Priced at USD 252 for the 128GB version, the Nokia G42 comes in an elegant purple hue that appeals to a wide range of consumers. While HMD Global has not yet announced details about availability in the US, it is expected to make its way to other markets soon.
The phone builds upon the success of its predecessor, the G22, which was showcased earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona. The Nokia G42 5G boasts a more premium look and feel, complemented by a 50-megapixel main camera and a 6.56-inch screen that delivers a vibrant viewing experience.
One standout feature of the Nokia G42 is its user-repairability, allowing customers to fix their devices themselves. HMD Global has collaborated with iFixit, a prominent repair advocacy organization, to ensure that the necessary parts and guides are readily available for users who choose to undertake their own repairs.
