A high-level delegation from the Transport Ministry of Seychelles has visited Velana International Airport (VIA) on an exploratory mission to seek valuable insights for an airport development project in Seychelles. The visit, facilitated by the Maldives Airport Company Ltd. (MACL), aimed to tap into VIA’s technical expertise and experience.
Transport Minister Antony Derjacques led the Seychelles delegation, which included senior executives from both the Transport Ministry and the Civil Aviation Authority of Seychelles. Their discussions with MACL’s senior executives covered challenges faced during the ongoing expansion project, as well as the vision behind the initiative.
MACL officials shared details of the VIA expansion project, highlighting its significance in enhancing airport infrastructure, and shared the Mohamed Muizzu administration’s vision for the project.
The delegation also toured the completed facilities at VIA, observing the results of the expansion. They further explored the new passenger terminal site, examining its design and services.
