Angus Cloud, who played Fez in the HBO series Euphoria, passed away at the early age of 25. He played a charismatic drug dealer who cared deeply for Rue, played by Zendaya. Rue was the main character in the series in collaboration with the Euphoria star.
According to an interview with GQ, he had no intention of being a star or an actor. The Euphoria star had initially worked at a chicken and waffle joint. However, he ended up in show business and throughout his acting career he took part in two films. He gained fame from the role he played in Euphoria and played the same part in the second season as well. HBO tweeted about how they were devastated to lose a talented and beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family.
The Euphoria star passed away at his family’s home in Oakland, California. His family confirmed his death in a statement to the media on Monday.
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” said his family.
His family has also requested privacy at this time as they are still processing this devastating loss.
His family hasn’t revealed the exact reason for his passing. However, they seem to suggest that it had something to do with his struggle to cope with his father’s death. According to his family, his father’s passing away last week had taken a toll on his mental health. He also posted a picture of his father on Instagram two weeks ago with the caption “miss you breh”.
