President Mohamed Muizzu expressed his gratitude to Chinese Ambassador Wang Lixin for her contributions to strengthening Maldives-China relations during her tenure.

The President thanked Ambassador Lixin during a farewell meeting held at the President’s Office on Tuesday, as she prepares to conclude her term. President Muizzu acknowledged China’s assistance in various fields and commended Ambassador Lixin’s role in fostering cooperation between the two countries.

The President’s Office noted that the meeting included discussions on China’s ongoing projects in the Maldives and potential opportunities for further collaboration. President Muizzu reiterated his administration’s commitment to bolstering the close ties between the Maldives and China.

Ambassador Lixin conveyed her gratitude to the Maldives government for its support and cooperation throughout her tenure.

In addition to meeting with the President, Ambassador Lixin paid a courtesy call on Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef as part of her farewell engagements.
