The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has published the final list of applicants eligible for 4,000 apartments to be allocated under the government’s ‘Gedhoruveriya’ housing scheme. Approximately 13,000 applicants have been deemed eligible and will be granted apartments in due course, the ministry said.

Applicants who have made it to the final list for the three-bedroom apartments have scored 76 or above, while those listed for the two-bedroom apartments have achieved scores exceeding 73, according to the ministry. The recipients of the latest batch of 4,000 flats will be determined by a draw, with the date and time for the draw to be announced through the ‘Gedhoruveriya’ portal.

The ministry confirmed that all those on the final list will be issued a letter through the portal confirming that they will receive apartments under the government’s housing project.

More than 20,000 individuals applied for apartments under the Gedhoruveriya housing scheme.
