President Mohamed Muizzu arrived in Estonia on Monday for an official visit at the invitation of Estonian President Alar Karis. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation, which includes representatives from the Maldives’ tech community, according to a statement from the President’s Office.
The visit will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation and exploring partnership opportunities in key areas such as digital technology, cybersecurity, e-governance, climate issues, and education between the Maldives and Estonia, the statement added.
During the visit, President Muizzu and his delegation will engage in discussions aimed at deepening cooperation in these areas. The visit’s primary goal is to lay the foundation for the digital transformation envisioned by President Muizzu, the President’s Office said.
President Muizzu is also scheduled to hold high-level talks with several prominent figures of the Estonian government, including Speaker of the Parliament Lauri Hussar and other senior officials.
