Israeli air strikes have targeted Yemen’s Red Sea port city of Hodeidah. Meanwhile, a Houthi drone attack in Tel Aviv on Friday resulted in one fatality and at least ten injuries.
The Israeli army intercepted approximately 30 projectiles from Lebanon, some of which fell in open areas. Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for Katyusha rocket attacks on northern Israel’s Dafna settlement, framing these actions as retaliation for Israeli strikes on Lebanese civilians.
In Gaza, the Israeli military killed at least 37 Palestinians and injured over 54 others over the past 24 hours alone. Israeli forces targeted family homes in the besieged territory. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in attacks on Gaza to approximately 38,919, mainly women and children, with 89,622 others wounded.
Analyst Elijah Magnier has highlighted the psychological impact of the Tel Aviv drone attack, suggesting it has shattered the perception of safety within Israel and is adding pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Magnier’s analysis points to the broader strategic shift, with the “axis of resistance”—including the Qassam Brigades, Hezbollah, and the Houthis—increasing their attacks on Israel, thereby expanding the scope of the conflict.
Pascale Coissard of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has reported severe conditions in Gaza. The dire lack of hygiene and clean water is leading to increased infections, while pregnant women face heightened risks of preterm deliveries and complications. The Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, which MSF supports, is under significant strain as it remains the last tertiary hospital in Gaza, dealing with critical cases amidst the ongoing crisis.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has condemned Israeli actions, labelling Prime Minister Netanyahu a “terrorist” and calling for accountability for alleged war crimes against Palestinians.
