Maldives’ Minister of Defence, Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon, and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah, met on the sidelines of the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024, held in Karachi, Pakistan.
Discussions focused on enhancing defence cooperation between the two nations, the Mladives’ Ministry of Defence said in a post to social media on Wednesday.
While the event will host 38 exhibiting countries and 350 foreign delegates—including from the United States, China and Russia—it is also expected to welcome well over 52,000 trade visitors.
