The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced its collaboration with the Hong Kong-based firm Rotime Engineering and Technology Co. Ltd. to construct a state-of-the-art warehouse complex in Hulhumalé.
The proposed warehouse complex is envisioned as a hub of advanced facilities, said HDC. It will incorporate an automated warehouse management system, specialised storage units for food and consumables, industrial warehouse units, and cold storage facilities. The complex will also accommodate a dedicated building for offices and showrooms, offering a comprehensive solution for diverse business needs.
Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed, the Managing Director of HDC, confirmed that the project is on track for completion within a two-year timeframe. He emphasised the strategic importance of this development, stating, “The warehouse complex, a key part of our strategic vision, will bring significant benefits to the local economy and business community.”
Rotime Engineering and Technology Co. Ltd. has previously been entrusted with several projects in Hulhumalé, including developing a co-living space building, living quarters for migrant workers, and a surfing arena.
