The Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL) has announced its decision to grant annual bonuses of MVR25,000 to each of its employees for the second fiscal year in a row.

MACL, the airport operator overseeing the largest international airport in the Maldives, revealed the decision in a circular issued on Thursday.

The circular outlines the criteria for employees to be eligible for the bonus. Those who have served the company throughout the entirety of the past 12 months will be entitled to the full bonus amount of MVR25,000. Staff members who have worked at MACL for a duration of six months or more during the fiscal year will also receive bonuses, which will be calculated proportionally based on the time of their service with the company. Employees who have been subject to disciplinary measures resulting in termination will not be eligible to receive these bonuses.

As a 100% government-owned limited liability company, MACL is governed by a board of directors appointed by the president.
